Leisure activities
Excursions and experiences
The Verona Cup is held at Lake Garda in Northern Italy, where the teams stay at the 5-star Camping Bella Italia ..just outside the town of Peschiera del Garda. There is plenty to do at Bella Italia, just as there are plenty of opportunities in the area to experience the Italian atmosphere, go on an excursion and the like. Below you will find the most popular leisure activities in the area during the football tournament.
Bella Italia activities
The large holiday resort invites you to activities on the grounds – from a dip in the pool or lake to delicious Italian ice cream, beach volleyball and ball courts. In addition, Verona Cup sets up an activity center during the tournament, with, among other things, a shooting castle and a speedometer. Søren Frederiksen (former Pro player) is here to entertain you for a few hours every afternoon with fun competitions, just as the center is visited by our freestylers etc. A popular leisure activity in the afternoon, when the teams return to Bella Italia after the matches.
Peschiera del Garda
A mere 10-minute walk along Lake Garda from the accommodation brings you to the beautiful medieval town of Peschiera del Garda, which with its large fortress from the 17th century is a favorite tourist destination in the area. In addition to the fortress, the old town with its cozy streets, canals, many small shops, pavement restaurants and Italian atmosphere is always popular with the participants of the Verona Cup.
Gardaland – rides for everyone!
Italy’s largest amusement park, which many clubs spend the Sunday before the Verona Cup in. The huge amusement park is only approx. 20 min drive from the accommodation and can be selected at a special price when you book participation in the tournament. In Gardaland there is something for all age groups – from the wildest amusements for the older children to cozy ditto for the younger ones – where the team can have a wonderful day together. A really popular “starter” in connection with the “football party at Lake Garda”.
Verona – shopping, culture and history
Close to Lake Garda is the historic city of Verona. The city is full of entertainment and cultural attractions, and in Verona there is something for every taste and every desire. One of Verona’s main tourist attractions is the Roman amphitheater, built in the first century and later expanded in the third century. In addition, there is a large selection of shops, shopping streets, cafes and cozy restaurants where you can taste Italian cuisine. A really good idea for an excursion – especially if you choose an extra day at Lake Garda in connection with the Verona Cup. The bus trip is included when you have purchased the transport through us.
Serie A and Champions League matches
If a Serie A or Champions League match is played in the area during the Verona Cup, we will select a match and offer the purchase of tickets for the match. It is usually a great success among the players to come in and get such a football experience home. Since the match programs for the individual autumn seasons are only published over the summer, and the individual match information is only determined 5-6 weeks before the match, we will be able to announce the possibilities for this later in the year.
