During Verona Cup
The Verona Cup has a permanent entertainment team including the former professional footballers Jesper Thygesen and Søren Frederiksen – as well as several others who provide an entertaining football tournament. Here you can read more about the entertainment at Lake Garda.
Below you can get an idea of the entertainment during the Verona Cup 2026.
Opening ceremony
On Monday evening, there will be a large-scale opening ceremony with, among other things, team presentations, national anthems, entertainment on stage – and the evening will end with a huge fireworks display over Lake Garda. Don’t miss this event where up to 4,000 participants gather in front of the stage on the shores of Lake Garda 😉
Pop-up events
During the entire tournament, Jesper Thygesen with his guitar and Søren Frederiksen, among others, will appear around the courts and at Bella Italia. These small events are intentionally not programmed and provide lots of funny situations – some of which are followed by our TV crew. Surprising and fun!
Freestyle Football
In 2025, we had two freestylers during the tournament – namely Sofie Johannsen and Guillermo Lobo Morales. These two amazing ball jugglers performed during the opening ceremony, as well as appearing in both our activity center and out on the courts during the tournament. Maybe you learned a trick or two?
The Cup Mile
This is the wide road in the middle of Camping Bella Italia, with the ice cream parlor and the sports bar, which goes down towards the lake shore. It is a popular and very well-visited street. This year there will be a lot of activities down the “Mile”. Here you will find the big tent with the “Verona Cup shop” (where you can buy this year’s cool Verona Cup Tee, have your very own specially designed Verona Cup hoodie, shirt etc. made, you can meet the people behind the football site Campo.dk, compete in Teqball, use the Pana pitch, play table football or try your hand at football darts and much more!
Every evening you can sing Karaoke with Jesper Thygesen from the mini stage, meet the freestylers Sofie and Guilermo ..or just buy a delicious Italian ice cream and enjoy the atmosphere.
Closing party
On Wednesday evening you are invited to a closing party by the stage at Bella Italia, where there will be lots of fun features and competitions. It will be a festive evening that you must not miss – where you will have the opportunity to say goodbye and see you again to the many new friends you have made during the football party at Lake Garda 😉
As can be seen, the entertainment program is large during the Verona Cup, and is an important part of the tournament, which is both sporting and social in a class of its own – because we take our slogan “Football Fun & Friends” very seriously. It is a really fun football tournament that sticks in the memory and creates friendships across both teams and nations.
